The ideal bed should be about 25-30 cm longer than the tallest of the users, which will allow you to assume a comfortable and convenient position without any restrictions. In case you do not decide on a custom-made bed, you can choose from furniture available in several standard sizes that are compatible with mattresses offered on the market. Shorter people can choose bedroom beds with a length of 180 cm, while taller people should pay attention to models with a length of 200 to even 220 cm.
In terms of width, standard single beds offer a minimum of 90 cm of space, while a double bed offers at least 160 cm. However, nothing prevents you from opting for wider options that will provide even more space and comfort during a night's rest.
Where to place a bedroom bed?
When choosing a location for our bed, it is important first of all to ensure easy access to the furniture. Let's also remember not to limit the functionality of the other furniture in the bedroom at the same time. For couples, it will prove more convenient to place the bed in the central part of the room. In smaller spaces, the bed can be placed in a corner or oriented with its longer side parallel to the wall. Whatever configuration you choose, make sure to leave enough space around the bed to use it comfortably.
