We have some tried and tested tips.
The dining room is supposed to be conducive to moments spent together, shared meals and conversations. Depending on the time of day, we can sip coffee there or serve showpiece dishes by the subtle glow of candlelight. HOW HIGH SHOULD YOU HANG THE LAMP OVER THE DINING TABLE?
The ideal height for a lamp over the dining table does not really exist. A generally accepted rule of thumb is that the hanging lamp, or more precisely its lower edge, should not be lower than 70-90 cm above the table top. Such a distance ensures the comfort of the piece of furniture, makes the space gain the right proportions and people who are going to stand up will not snag their heads on it.
In the case of coffee tables, these values are slightly lower - usually the appropriate hanging height for a lamp is 50-70 cm above the table top. However, it is worth remembering that the final decision depends on many factors: the type and function of the lamp, the height of the ceiling, the size of the room and the effect you want to achieve.
Large, wide shades look better when hung a little higher, as they do not overwhelm the interior and do not restrict the field of view of those sitting at the table. Slenderer models and smaller lamps can be hung a little lower - then there is no risk that they will dominate the space or disturb its proportions.
A single chandelier is a tried and tested solution, but an interesting option is to hang ceiling lamps at different heights . This diffuses the light on several levels of the interior, creating a cosy atmosphere and an interesting, artistic setting. HOW TO CHOOSE A PENDANT LAMP TO MATCH THE TABLE AND THE INTERIOR?
