The longing for closeness to nature is deeply rooted in us. A lush jungle is more and more frequently to be found even in small flats located in city centres. Living houseplants, however, require a lot of time to maintain. Thus, not everyone can afford rows and rows of pots along windowsills. Fortunately, parallel to the gardening industry, departments with decorations and accessories with plant motifs are flourishing. Such decorations allow us to enjoy the sight of exotic specimens that are unsuitable for growing at home.

Why has greenery entered our interiors so often in recent years? Plant motifs enhance the mood, bringing a soothing tranquillity to the four corners. It is hard to overestimate the possibility of relaxing surrounded by palm trees, regardless of the season. Harmonious foliage also makes it easier to concentrate when working or studying. Importantly, the green patterns fit perfectly into both modern and more traditional décor. Wallpaper, posters, cushions, curtains... There are really many possibilities to invite nature in the form of decoration. How do you incorporate this trend into your interior design?

PLANT MOTIF ON THE WALL: INSPIRING IDEAS

It is hard to look away from the climbing plants that naturally grow on the walls of buildings. You can create a similar atmosphere in the interior of your own home with decorative wallpaper and panels. The lush stems will provide a unique backdrop to everyday challenges. We can use the plant motif on a selected wall, keeping the others in a muted colour, matching the pattern. However, if you want to feel like you're in a real jungle, there's nothing stopping you from applying it to several walls.

Pastel-coloured wallpaper with floral patterns used to be king in interiors. Today, leaf motifs, especially of exotic plant species, are leading the way. Kerradeco panels with a painting of dangling vines are a particularly interesting option for botanical lovers. Not only do they look great, but they are also more durable and more resistant to scratches and moisture than traditional wallpaper. However, it is worth remembering moderation. An overabundance of different patterns, instead of being soothing, can lead to headaches over time. The same applies to shades of green. To avoid overdoing it, it is good to stick to a particular range and temperature. While bottle green will look great even when combined with yellow or apricot, a juicy green will sound better against a calm white or grey background.

FURNITURE IN THE COLOUR OF THE FOREST

If you have nature in your heart and are not afraid of more expressive accents, you can also invest in truly floral furniture. For example, a table with a green top and wooden legs, matched with simple oak chairs. A bottle green sofa or armchair in the living room is also an original solution. When reading a book on such a piece of furniture, it will be easier for us to relax and move our thoughts to another reality.

All you need to do is look at them often and allow yourself a moment of relaxation. This is especially valuable if the aura outside the window is not conducive to direct contact with nature.
